Sample: (187 words)

The bar chart compares the percentage of adults aged 25 - 34 and 55 - 64 who completed high school education in six different countries in 2010. Overall, younger adults attained a higher proportion of high school completion in nearly all nations, while older adults in Brazil and China had the lowest completion rate.

In developed countries such as Germany, the USA, and Russia, the majority of adults completed secondary education regardless of age. In Germany and the USA, around 85-90% of people in both groups graduated from high school, showing the smallest discrepancy between generations. Russia also displayed a consistently high educational attainment, though the younger generation (over 90%) slightly outperformed the older one (approximately 75%).

By contrast, significant generational gaps were evident in emerging countries. In particular, Korea witnessed a striking disparity in educational attainment, as nearly all younger adults (about 98%) had completed high school, which was more than  double the proportion of their seniors (around 43%). In Brazil and China, the figures remained substantially lower, particularly among older citizens, with less than one-third in Brazil and barely 10% in China attaining a high school qualification.

Task 2: Employment should give their staff at least a 4-week holiday a year to make employees better at their jobs. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Sample: (287 words)

In today’s fast-paced and competitive working environment, there is an on-going debate about whether companies should provide their employees with a minimum of four weeks of annual leave to enhance their job performance. I strongly agree that extended holidays can significantly improve both individual productivity and overall organisational success.

First and foremost, sufficient time off plays a vital role in maintaining employees’ mental well-being and preventing burnout. Continuous exposure to high workloads without proper rest can lead to stress and exhaustion, declining work efficiency. In contrast, a prolonged break allows workers to recharge their energy, regain focus, and return to work with renewed motivation. A case in point is my personal experience this year when I took a three-week vacation. During this time, I completely disconnected from work, travelled, and spent quality time with my family. When I returned, I found myself more focused and eager to take on new challenges, which clearly demonstrated the importance of adequate rest.

Furthermore, not only does extended annual leave benefit employees, but it also offers considerable advantages for the organisations themselves. When employees feel that their well-being is valued, they are more likely to develop a stronger sense of loyalty and commitment towards their companies. This, in return, reduces staff turnover and recruitment costs, ultimately improving business stability. However, some argue that longer breaks may disrupt workflow. To address this concern, I believe that, with proper work scheduling and management, such challenges can be easily mitigated. In the long run, a well-rested and motivated workforce will always outperform one that is overworked and demoralised.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that extended annual leave is not a luxury but a strategic investment that enhances employees' morale and drives sustainable organisational growth.

- exhaustion (n): sự kiệt sức

- prolong (v): kéo dài

- staff turnover: tỷ lệ nghỉ việc

- mitigate (v): làm giảm nhẹ, giảm thiểu

- morale (n): tinh thần
