1. How has technology changed the way people work and live?

Sample Answer (Band 7.0+):

  1. Technology has significantly transformed the way we work and live by enhancing convenience, and fostering greater connectivity.

  2. In terms of employment, many people are now able to work remotely through platforms, Zoom or Google Meet to name a few, which helps save commuting time and improve work-life balance. When it comes to daily life, smartphones are widely used for almost everything, such as shopping, banking, or staying in touch with others. For example, I often use mobile apps to order food and chat with my friends without going outside. However, people are becoming too reliant on technology and may neglect real-life communication.

  3. All in all, technology has brought many advantages, but I believe that it’s important to use it mindfully and not to let it replace genuine human connections.

Sample Answer (Band 7.0+):

  1. Personally I think, Yes. AI will replace some human jobs, especially those that involve repetitive or routine tasks.

  2. In some industries like manufacturing or customer service, AI-powered systems can perform faster and more accurately than humans. For instance, many companies now use chatbots to handle basic customer inquiries instead of hiring staff. However, I believe that certain roles requiring emotional intelligence, creativity, or complex decision-making will still need a human touch.

  3. So, in short, AI might change the nature of work rather than completely eliminate human workers.

Sample Answer (Band 7.0+):

  1. Yes, I believe there should definitely be limits on how AI is applied in society, especially when it comes to personal privacy.

  2. For example, if AI is used to track people’s location or record what they say without permission, it can feel like a serious invasion of privacy. That’s why governments and tech companies need to set rules to make sure AI is used responsibly.

  1. From my perspective, many people feel uneasy about being tracked because it makes them worried about their privacy.

  2. They are not sure who is collecting their data or what it’s used for, so they may have a sense of insecurity. For example, some apps can access your location or photos without asking, which might seem like a big invasion of personal space.
