Overall, the theater has undergone a comprehensive expansion, primarily by repurposing the adjacent parkland to the east. Key developments include increased seating capacity, the relocation of amenities to a significantly larger foyer, and the addition of a restaurant. Regarding the auditorium, seating has been augmented from 400 to 500 by adding three rows (N, P, and O) at the rear. While the stage and backstage remain in their original northern positions, the building's southern boundary has been extended toward the main road to accommodate the extra seating. In terms of facilities, the original southern foyer has been replaced by a spacious extension on the former park site, with the entrance moved to the east. Amenities previously situated in the old foyer—the ticket office, refreshment counter, and cloakroom—now line the western wall of the new foyer. The toilets have been relocated to the northern end, and a new restaurant has been established in the northeastern corner.

Rising rates of lifestyle-related diseases nowadays have prompted a debate on how governments should influence dietary habits. While some people suggest that subsidizing fresh produce is the best way to encourage healthy eating, others argue for a tax on junk food to discourage its consumption. This essay will discuss both perspectives and explain why a combination of both, with a focus on subsidies, is the most effective approach. On the one hand, subsidizing fruits and vegetables makes a nutritious diet accessible to everyone. Financial support for farmers lowers the market price, ensuring that healthy food is not a luxury reserved for the wealthy. For example, if the price of a bag of apples were lower than a pack of cookies, parents on a tight budget would certainly choose the fruit for their children’s snack. Consequently, making fresh food affordable positively addresses the root cause of poor nutrition among low-income families. On the other hand, imposing taxes on unhealthy products serves as a powerful deterrent. By increasing the cost of unhealthy food, the government can reduce impulsive and habitual consumption. A clear example is a sugar tax on soft drinks; many consumers might think twice or switch to water if a can of a popular sugar-sweetened beverage became significantly more expensive. However, this method can only be perceived as punitive, as it raises costs without providing a better alternative. In conclusion, while taxation provides a necessary discouragement for harmful habits, subsidies are a superior and proactive strategy to tackle the problem at its source. Ideally, in my opinion, tax revenue from unhealthy goods could be used to fund subsidies, creating a balanced and effective policy.
